Common Skin Conditions We Treat

  • Corns and Calluses: Thickened areas of skin caused by repeated pressure or friction, often from poorly fitting shoes or abnormal gait. Causing tenderness, or pain when walking.
  • Cracked Heels (Heel Fissures: Painful, deep, thickened skin, splits in the skin around the heel. Sometimes bleeding, and risk of infection. 
  • Athlete’s Foot (Tinea Pedis): A contagious fungal infection that thrives in warm, moist environments. Itching, peeling, burning skin, especially between the toes.
  • Warts (Plantar Warts / Verruca Pedis): Viral skin growths caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV), often found on the soles of the feet. Rough, grainy lesions that may be painful under pressure.
  • Blisters: Painful, swollen, raw skin or fluid-filled sacs caused by friction or burns.
  • Dermatitis and Psoriasis: Chronic itchy, red, or scaly patches, dryness, and flaking. Usually from an underlying condition.

Nail Conditions We Manage

  • Ingrown Toenails (Onychocryptosis): Redness, pain, swelling, and sometimes infection at the nail edges. Caused from poor nail trimming, tight footwear, trauma, or genetics.
  • Fungal Toenails (Onychomycosis): Thickened, yellow or white, brittle, and crumbly nails. Can occur on the nail plate, under the nail plate or within the plate. 
  • Nail Trauma & Bruising: Discoloration, thickening, nail detachment, or deformity. possibly from impact injuries, repetitive pressure, or sports. 
  • Thickened Nails (Onychogryphosis): Hard, curved, and difficult-to-trim nails. Caused by repeated trauma, age-related changes, or underlying fungal infection.
  • Psoriatic Nails: Pitting, discoloration, or separation of the nail from the bed. Associated with psoriasis, commonly misdiagnosis as fungal infections.
